In February 2026, pricing surveys were conducted of local funeral homes. In order to compare “apples to apples,” prices were requested for a direct cremation and a funeral service, utilizing individual line items from each firm's General Price List. A funeral service includes transportation of the body into the funeral home's care, embalming and other preparation of the deceased, a service fee of the funeral director and staff, a viewing (4 hours) and funeral ceremony and the use of a hearse. The prices do not include a casket, burial vault, memorial package or limousine. Providers may change their prices without notice and may offer package discounts or discounts made available only if specific merchandise or services are purchased through the funeral home. The prices are accurate, based upon the information obtained during the survey. Newcomer prices were effective August 2025.
