Zandra Cates

Zandra "Boo" Laron Cates, 54, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. Boo was a caring and loving individual. She loved helping children and helped foster several children over the years. Boo would help anyone in need and would give everything she had to help someone. She loved to shop, music, and going to the movies. Boo enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her children and grandchildren.

She was born on March 2, 1966 in Louisville, Kentucky to Charles Tate and Patricia Cates. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Grandmothers, Madea and Nanny, and Sister, Shavonde Johnson.

Boo is survived by her Daughters, Zerricka Cates, Zamara Cates, and Azaria Watkins, Grandchildren, Peyton Downs, and Penelope Downs, Sisters, Avilla Andrews, and Iletha Huguley, Nephew, Victor King, Niece, Britany Jackson, Cousins, Haven Cates, Marvin Cates, and Jerry Cates. Boo also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of Friends and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday with the Apostle Nena Lynn and Elder James Lynn officiating at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow in Green Meadows Cemetery.
