Zachary "Zach" Tyler Howard, a vibrant soul whose presence touched many, was born on November 28, 2000, in Pocatello, Idaho. He passed away on May 28, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love and laughter.
Zach spent his formative years nurturing a deep passion for various interests, including fishing, hiking, football, hockey, and playing his guitar. Zach also enjoyed dirt biking and bowling. He delighted in collecting sports cards and appreciated the beauty of nature through camping and traveling. He loved a good blueberry butterscotch candy cane. Most importantly, Zach valued the time he spent with his family and friends, creating bonds that will be remembered fondly.
After completing high school, Zach pursued further education and earned his welding certification, showcasing his dedication and skill.
He is survived by his loving parents, Shawn and Theresa Howard; his brother and best friend, Jackson Howard; step brother, Nathan Howard; his beloved niece, Ella Howard; his grandfathers, Allan Howard and Robert "Bob" Mock; his grandmother, Thelma Wooley; his aunts, Megan Bishop and Colleen (Tori) Hatfield; and his cousin, Tyler Bishop. Each of these individuals played an integral role in Zach’s life, and their shared experiences will continue to resonate even in his absence.
Zach is preceded in death by his grandfather, Dennis Wooley, whose memory he carries within the hearts of those who loved him.
A visitation to honor Zach's life will take place on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, located at 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150.
Zachary "Zach" Tyler Howard will be remembered not only for his passions but also for the love and joy he brought into the lives of those around him. His spirit will forever be a guiding light for his family and friends, reminding them to cherish every moment and seek out happiness in life’s adventures.
