Yolonda "Vet" Jones, 57, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021. Vet was a graduate of Seneca High School and she went on to further her education and earned a degree in the medical field at National University and Spencerian College. She worked as a traveling phlebotomist LabCorp. of America. Vet accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at the early age of 6 at Paul C. Cayce and continued to confess her love of Christ throughout her life. She always enjoyed playing bingo, traveling, visiting with her children, grandkids, and great nephew, and she loved holidays and having dinner with her family. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother "Yeti", aunt, cousin, and friend who will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the pleasure and honor of meeting her.
She was born on December 29, 1963 in Louisville, Kentucky to Charles "Pookie" and Edna (Kelsey) Jones. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles A. Jones, Sr. and grandparents, Oliver W. (Margaret) McClain.
Yolonda is survived by her loving family, mother, Edna V. Jones; sons, William A. Jones and Keith R. (Nadia) Jones; grandchildren, Kobe R. Jones and Kameron M. Jones; siblings, Charles A. (Gloria) Jones, Rachelle D. Jones, and Pamela D. Jones; ex-husband, William R. (Glenda) Jackson. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Dayspring Missionary Baptist Church, (1111 S 8th St. Louisville, KY 40203). Her Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, at Dayspring Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery - Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.
