Wm. "Dave" Simpson, 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
He was born on March 25, 1944 in Mount Washington, Kentucky to the late Earl and Rachel (Shelburne) Simpson.
Dave was a retired Jefferson County Deputy Sheriff and an active realtor with the Louisville Board of Realtors since 1978.
Dave is survived by his wife, Debbie Simpson, daughter Melissa Earls and special family members Bob, Sharon and Kaylee Wessling. Also left to cherish his memory is a host of nieces, nephews, his "chosen adopted" 2nd family members and his special American Brittany Rescue fur babies Aubrey, Duchess and Murphy.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to either American Brittany Rescue (ABR Treasurer P.O. Box 6537Santa Rosa, CA 95406) and/or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 33105).
Per Dave's wishes cremation was chosen and a celebration of life will be held privately.
