Winifred Tucker

Winifred Louise (Winnie, Grandma, Nanny, GiGi) Tucker, 87, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away at her daughter's home surrounded by family and friends on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 4:10 pm.

She was born on December 26, 1933 in Sonora, Kentucky to the late Filmore and Jennie (Pace) Womack. She is preceded in death by her sons, Ronald Hayes, Donald Hayes, grandson Ronnie Hayes, sister Christine Cox (Raymond) and brothers Sam Womack (Ruby) and James Paul Womack.

Winnie is survived by her loving daughters, Rhonda Thompson (Patrick), Lolly Tucker (Melissa), Sherri Williams (Jim), brother, William (Tommy) Womack, grandchildren, Jennifer Bucher (Jackie), Pennie Lunsford (Robbie), Taylor Allen (Jon), McKenzie Norris (Zach), Jennifer Davis, great-grandchildren, Hannah Scott (John), Braedon Tyler, Ashleigh Lunsford, JoJo Lunsford, Isabella Louise Allen, August Lilly Norris, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is also survived by her beloved caregiver Bridgette Ingram and all the other wonderful caregivers from Hosparus.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).

Visitation will also be from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 am on Friday, April 16, 2021 at the funeral home.

The family requests that contributions in Winnie's memory be made to Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
