Wilma Janet Reed, 76, of Borden, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017. She was an employee at Robinson Nugent for over 20 years and retired from Payne & Sparkman in New Albany. Janet enjoyed both sewing and baking.

She was born on January 24, 1941, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Carl, Sr., and Nancy (Rothrock) Reed. Janet was also preceded in death by her siblings, Betty Reed, Patty Haynes, Jerry Reed, and Mary Reed.

Janet is survived by her siblings, Carl "Corky" Reed, Jr. (Mary Jane), Joy Koopman (Eddie), Eva Kay Richards (Allen), and Harry Reed (Marilyn); sister-in-law, Ann Reed; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday in the chapel at the funeral home. Burial will be private at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Starlight, Indiana.

Contributions in Janet's memory may be made to the Salvation Army (2300 Green Valley Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150).
