Wilma Jean (Young) Orndorff

Wilma Jean (Young) Orndorff, 67, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Wilma was a faithful member at Howard Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and Bethel A.M.E. Church. She loved to cook for family and friends and never passed up an opportunity to host a party. Wilma will be remembered for her gregarious spirit, her contagious smile, and her ability to make everyone feel comfortable and have fun.

She was born on November 29, 1953, in Mahan, West Virginia, to the late James and Lillian Young. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Agnes Booker; brother, James Young; and granddaughter, Saxon Roberts.

Wilma is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Victor Orndorff; daughter, Jeana (Jeff) Wichterman; daughter, Deanna Young; son, Shawn Roberts; brother, Curtis Young; sister, Wanda Covington; sister, Diedra Young; brother, Eric Young; 14 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held by the family on Saturday, April 3, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at 2041 Cardinal Lane, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
