Wilma Lucille (Martin) Houser Brown, 84, of New Albany, formerly of Elizabeth, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017. She enjoyed going to yard sales and auctions, as well as visiting the boat.
She was born on December 11, 1932, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late William and Althea (Langsdon) Martin. Wilma was also preceded in death by her husbands, Amel Houser and James Brown; and six brothers and sisters.
Wilma is survived by her children, Deborah Crosier (Edward), Sherry Buckman, Jeff Houser, Douglas Houser (Hope), Laura Brown (Brad), Brent Houser, Beth Ann Houser (Todd), and Chad Houser; sister, Jane Nichols; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Monday after 9:00 a.m. Her Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Bethesda Cemetery in Elizabeth, Indiana.
