William Wilson Jr.

William Wilson lovingly known as Brother Bill "Papaw" passed away on November 5, 2015 at his home.

William was born on May 15, 1938 to the late William Daniel Wilson Sr. and Mattie Janet Wilson in Braddock, PA. He attended College of the Scriptures in Louisville, KY. On December 31, 1983 he married the love of his life Monica Watkins. From there William and Monica were missionaries to the Cayman Islands for almost 20 years where they touched countless lives. William loved preaching, teaching and being on the radio. He was a television and radio personality in the Cayman Islands and in Louisville, KY as well.

William is survived by his wife, Monica; three daughters, Kristy Wilson and Brittney Wilson of Lexington, KY and Danielle Wilson Jones (Antonio) of Louisville, KY, one son William Matthew "BeBe" Wilson of Michigan; siblings, Theodore Wilson of Flint, Michigan, Victoria Harris of Lexington, KY and Deborah Butler of Brentwood, TN; six grandsons, Matthew Wilson, BJ Wilson, Nathan Mack, Asher Snedegar IV, William Blaine Snedegar and Dayton Jones; two granddaughters, Krystal Bond and Nora Mack and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Daniel Wilson Sr. and Mattie Janet Wilson; his sister, Susan Marie Smith and his brothers, Harold Alexander Wilson and James Wilson.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 9, 2015 at Okolona Christian Church (10801 Faithful Way, Louisville, KY 40229), visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park.
