William A. (Bill) Wilson

June 16, 1949 — January 31, 2021

William Arnold (Bill) Wilson, 71, died unexpectedly, Sunday, January 31, 2021, at Norton Audobon Hospital.
He was a retired educator and served the Archdiocese of Louisville as a teacher, vice principal and principal at St. Andrew Academy (St. Polycarp) Elementary School.

He was a native of Lafayette, Indiana, a graduate of Purdue University and received a Master's Degree of Religious Education from Spalding University. He was an active member of St. Polycarp parish, as well as involved in a variety of parish and campus ministries.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Ruth Wilson.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Theresa (Rohrman) Wilson; 2 daughters, Audra (Phillip) Barnett and Monica (Michael) Ganoe; 4 grandchildren, Sydney and Rachel Ganoe, Sam and Rebekah Barnett; 2 brothers, Thomas (Paula) Wilson and David (Linda) Wilson; a sister, Therese (Malcolm) McCracken; and a sister-in-law, Wendy Rohrman.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Friday, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.
Memorial donations may be made in Bill's honor to St. Andrew Academy.
