William R. "Bill" Troutman, 90, of Salem, Indiana passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017.
Bill was born on September 5, 1927, in Meade County, Kentucky, to the late Barney & Linnie (Bennett) Troutman. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Shoemaker) Troutman; son, Gene Darnell; brothers, Cecil, Jimmy & Walt Troutman.
Bill is survived by his children, William W. Troutman (Sherri), Kevin Troutman (Clara), Susan Nalley (Paul), Wayne Darnell (Debbie) and Charles Darnell (Nancy); sister, Violet Ferree; grandchildren, Kayla Troutman, Shelby Nunley, Eric Troutman, Katie Wolfe-Robinson, William C. Troutman, Jamie Troutman, Michael Darnell, Billy Darnell, William Darnell and Sherry Darnell; 22 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday. His Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Greenville Cemetery in Greenville, IN.
