William Arlis Travis

October 4, 1939 — January 29, 2018

William Arlis "Billy" Travis, age 78 of Louisville, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018. He was a member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church and retired from Kentuckiana Food Service. He was a lover of golf and an avid UofL Cardinal fan. Billy loved reading and studying the Bible. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Arlis and Evelyn Summers Travis; and his brother, Ronnie Travis.

Billy is survived by his loving children, Denise Meyer (Tim), Tina Leslie (Randy) Steven Tyler and John Travis; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Bailey Meyer, Taylor Meyer, Travis Meyer, Kimberly Tyler, Kelsey Tyler, Alexis Tyler, Jessica Ratliff, Waylon Ratliff, Justin Wade, Samantha Worrall, Laighla Travis, Stori Wade, Adian Travis, Liam Curley, Julien Worrall, Tristan Thompson, Corbin Thompson and Atlas Wade; sisters, Barbara Burgin, Debbie Spears (Ralph) and Carolyn Wilson (Allen); many nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be 1-6 pm Sunday, February 4, 2018 and from 10am-1pm on Monday, February 5th at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. A celebration of Billy's life will be 1pm on Monday at the funeral home, followed by burial in Floydsburg Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Children's International and Save the Children.
