William Joseph Stark, Sr.

William Joseph Stark, Sr., 59, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019. He was a dedicated employee of Dana Corporation in Louisville, Kentucky, for the past 35 years. Bill loved working alongside his brother on the family farm in Lanesville, as well as restoring his Mustang and spending time outdoors fishing and hunting.

He was born on March 13, 1960, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Herman and Vivian (Leist) Stark. Bill was also preceded in death by his sister, Alice Wolfe.

Bill is survived by his sons, William Stark, Jr. (Leah) and Clayton Stark (Amanda); siblings, David Stark (Vanda), Marilyn Schneider, Nancy Stark, and Charles Stark (Susie); 8 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Saturday after 10:00 a.m. His funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Lanesville Protestant Cemetery.
