William L. Showalter, Jr., 76, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017. He was a United States Navy veteran and retired from Rohm & Haas Chemical Company.

Bill was born on November 29, 1940, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late William, Sr., and Clara (Hook) Showalter. He was also proceeded in death by his wife, Nicole (Lamping) Showalter; and sisters, Beverly Perkins and Sharon Setzer.

He is survived by his son, Shaun Showalter, Sr. (Linda); and grandchildren, Ashleigh and Shaun Michael Showalter.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Saturday after 10:00 a.m. His Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial and military honors to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville.
