William Edward Sales

February 3, 1929 — May 28, 2017

William Edward Sales, age 88, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017. Bill earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Indiana State University in 1946. He was a Korean War Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #0181. He retired from the Kankakee Daily Journal in Kankakee, Illinois after 26 years of service. He was a faithful member of St. Matthews Baptist Church. Bill loved spending time with his family and being a greeter at church. He enjoyed collecting lighthouses, stamps and coins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry A. and Florence D. Reynolds Sales.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jane; children, Jay E. Sales (Kathy) and Janet McIntosh (Bill); grandchildren, Christy Stanfill (Andrew), Reed McIntosh (Kristen), Bethany Willey (Jordan) and Kimberly McIntosh; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 10-11am Friday, June 2, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown, followed by a celebration of Bill's life at 11am. Burial will follow at Worthington Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Matthews Baptist Church Reimagine Campaign.
