Listen to Obituary

William “Willie” Pullen passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 45. Born on December 23, 1980, Willie will be remembered as a happy, positive man with a big smile, a family-centered heart, and a gift for making and building with his hands.

A 1999 graduate of Fairdale High School, Willie was truly a jack of all trades. He loved being outdoors and found joy in cooking, working in the yard, and collecting just about anything and everything. He was an artist and a creator in the truest sense, someone who could imagine something and then bring it to life. His carpentry work stood as a lasting reflection of that talent and determination. From his own backyard, he built a covered bridge, a house, chicken coops, decks, a garden, and even a zip-line. Those projects were more than accomplishments; they were expressions of his generous spirit, creativity, and love of home and family. He also good-naturedly tolerated his wife’s love for animals, a small but meaningful reflection of the patience and affection he carried into everyday life.

Of all the roles he held, the one he treasured most was being a father to his son, Kruz. That was his proudest accomplishment and one of the clearest expressions of who he was. Willie was family oriented in every sense, and the love he gave to those closest to him will remain one of the most enduring parts of his life.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Crystal Pullen, and by his son, Kruz Pullen. He also leaves behind his brother, Jeremy Pullen and Melissa; his grandmother, Clarice Day; his nephew, Jake Pullen; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Greg and Virginia Adkins; his brothers-in-law, Brett Adkins and Mary, Chris Kennedy, Nicholas Adkins as well as his father Richie Pullen along with a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.  Each of them shared in the laughter, warmth, and love that Willie brought into the lives of those around him, and his memory will continue to live on in the family he cherished so deeply.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Vicki Lescailles; his grandfather, Richard Day; and his mother-in-law, Pamela Kennedy.
