William Louis Pipes

William Louis Pipes, 70, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021. William was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, camping, and archery.

He was born on November 5, 1950, in Brandenburg, Kentucky, to the late Lawrence Pipes and Mary (Allen) Fluhr. Along with his parents, William is preceded in death by his brothers, Tommy and Charlie Pipes, and Gilbert Allen.

William is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Spainhour) Pipes; daughters, Jennifer (Phil) Cooper and Melissa (Darrel) Burton; granddaughters, Melia McIntosh, Michele and Morgan Cooper, and Adele Burton; and brother, Robert (Marilyn) Pipes.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany, (3309 Ballard Lane) and will continue at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Grace Lutheran Church (1787 Klerner Lane, New Albany, IN). His Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, at the church with burial and military honors to follow in the Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.

The family requests that contributions in William's memory be made to Grace Lutheran Church (1787 Klerner Lane, New Albany, IN 47150).
