William “Billy” Frank Pace, 69, of Louisville, passed away on March 18, 2026.
Born on April 14, 1956, in Louisville, Billy was a proud lifelong resident of the city that shaped him. He graduated from DeSales High School in 1974, where he earned a reputation as one of the finest basketball players to ever come through the school, leaving behind a legacy that still echoes on the court.
Billy dedicated his career as a skilled union electrician with IBEW Local 369, where he was respected not only for his craftsmanship but for the character he brought to every job.
Outside of work, Billy lived with the spirit of the open road. He loved to travel, often packing up his Chevy Astro van and heading wherever the highway would take him. Those trips came with a soundtrack every road mile backed by the unmistakable sound of Lynyrd Skynyrd playing loud and proud. To him, life wasn’t meant to be rushed it was meant to be driven, windows down, music up.
He will be remembered as an extremely funny man who truly lived life to the fullest. His laughter had a way of filling a room, and his presence made ordinary moments feel like something worth holding onto.
Above all, Billy was a loving husband and father, whose greatest pride was his family.
Billy didn’t just pass through life he filled it with noise, laughter, and miles worth remembering. And somewhere, if you listen close, you can almost hear that van rolling on, Skynyrd playing, and Billy smiling behind the wheel.
