William "Bill" Joseph O'Meara passed away on November 7, 2020 after a year long battle with acute myeloid leukemia. He was 76. He was born on August 12, 1944 to the late William J. O'Meara, Sr. and Mary Catherine Weaver O'Meara.
Bill was a graduate of St. Xavier High School class of '62. He earned a bachelor's degree at The University of Louisville and an MBA at Vanderbilt University. He had a 30-year career at Brown-Forman Corporation then owned and operated South Bay Trailers and retired from laCrosse Enterprises.
He was a lifelong Louisville Cardinals fan, he could be seen for years at both basketball and football games cheering for his Cards. Music was his real passion and enjoyed sharing this love with his family and friends.
As a husband, father and grandfather, he always put his family first. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of almost 57 years, Margaret "Margie"; two children, Todd O'Meara (Catherine) and Carey O'Meara; and three grandchildren, Ben Bramer, Ailey Bramer and Morgan Dillie; brother, Michael O'Meara (Yvonne) who live in California; and a host of relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the physicians, nurses and aides at the CBC Group and Baptist Health who cared for him with love and dignity. We are forever grateful for your compassion.
