William John Nicholas

William Nicholas, 77, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020.

He was born on June 29, 1943 in Stratford, New Jersey to Charles and Anna Nicholas. He is preceded in death by his Parents, and Brother, Russ Nicholas.

Following high school Bill served his country by joining the Air Force. After leaving the service, Bill received a degree in political science from Grand Valley State University. He worked as an aide in the Nebraska State Legislature and worked on numerous political campaigns. He also worked as a lobbyist for organizations such as the Tobacco Institute, Rural Electric, and the Kentucky Education Association. After leaving politics, Bill started his own company, RJ Marketing, named after his his children. Bill continued to follow politics during his retirement while enjoying his roles as a husband, father, and papa.

William is survived by his loving Wife of 50 years, Juliana Nicholas, Daughter, Jodi Maureen Ellis (Craig), Son, Ryan Patrick Nicholas (JoAnn), Sister, Nancy Nerli, Grandchildren, Hannah Ellis, Dylan Ellis, Mason Ellis, Breanna Shaw, Hanna Shaw, Conner Nicholas, Talece'a Nicholas, and Nate Nicholas.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
