William Bernard Meisner

December 17, 1932 — November 9, 2018

William Bernard Meisner, 85, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018. He was a United States Army veteran and spent a career that spanned many decades in management at both A&P Grocery and Sears. Bill enjoyed helping others and loved working out in his yard. He was a member of both St. Augustine Catholic Church and St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church.

He was born on December 17, 1932, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Frederick and Frances (Gross) Meisner. Bill was also preceded in death by his brother, Leonard "Lonnie" Meisner.

Bill is survived by his wife of over 62 years, Shirley (Kreamer) Meisner; daughter, Laura Meisner; sister, Jean Rightor; brother, Allen Meisner (Lois); sister-in-law, Delores Meisner; grandchildren, Nicholas Tash, Amanda Tash, and Kayla Meisner; great-granddaughter, Nicole Meisner; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions was entrusted with his care. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church (1104 South 6th Street, Louisville, Kentucky 40203).

Contributions in Bill's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society (1640 Lyndon Farm Court, Suite 104, Louisville, Kentucky 40223).
