William Owen "Bill" Knotts, Jr., 80, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018. He was an avid NASCAR and drag-racing fan and even built his own hotrods in his younger years. Bill could be described as always "tinkering" with something in the garage.

He was born on September 15, 1937 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late William O., Sr. and Mary Ann (Truman) Knotts. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Knotts; and son, Phillip Knotts.

Bill is survived by his son, Jeffrey Knotts (Cindy); siblings, Tony Knotts and Joan Disney; and nephew, Ben McKinley.

Visitation will be from 3 PM to 6 PM Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held at 6 PM at the funeral home with cremation to follow.
