William M. Jett

William "Bill" M. Jett, 75, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.
He was born on July 21, 1946 in Knoxville, Tennessee to William and Willie (Bales) Jett. Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving from 1965 to 1968. He founded J&J Design and Construction in 1988. Bill was a boy scout leader in Troop 1, and a coach for Waggener High School Basketball. He was a proud supporter for both U of L and UK athletics. He was the booming voice in the stands for all of his kids and grandkids sporting events.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Willie Marie Jett; father, William W. Jett; brother, Roy Jett; and sister, Joyce Reifsnyder.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Vivian G. Jett; children, Cindy Jones (Dennis), Kim Williams; Keith Jett (Shannon), Shaun Jett (Lisa), and Eric Jett; sister, Linda Bollman (Bill); brother, Bobby Jett (Denise); 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; numerous extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, March 28, 2022 at Newcomer Cremation, Funerals & Receptions-East Louisville Chapel, (235 Juneau Dr.). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project.
