William Curtis "J.R." Holt, Jr., 64, of Salem, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021. J.R. loved hunting, fishing, mowing the yard, and spending time with his family.
He was born on February 6, 1957 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late William and Betty (Jesse) Holt. Along with his parents, J.R. is preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Nahm.
He is survived by his children, Stephanie (Troy) Young, Jeremy Holt, and Elisa Holden; grandchildren, Garrett (Molly) Zollman, Jadyn Barger, Trinity Holden, and Serenity Collins; great-grandchild, Londynn Zollman; siblings, Linda (Robert) Newman, Janet (Chuck) Eisenback, Pamela Rawlings, and Timothy (Kathy) Holt.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany, (3309 Ballard Lane). Cremation will follow according to J.R.'s wishes.
The family requests that contributions in J.R.'s memory be made to the Humane Society of Washington County (204 West Joseph Street Salem, IN 47167).
