William Christopher Harvey
July 12, 1975 — August 28, 2017
William "Chris" Harvey, 42, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017. He was an avid UK fan and loved his family dearly. Chris could be described as kindhearted, fun-loving, and at times goofy. He will be deeply missed by all who came in contact with him.
He was born on July 12, 1975, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late William and Carolyn (Byrd) Harvey. Chris is survived by his wife, Leann (Horsley) Harvey; children, Brayden and Sofiah Harvey; sisters, Tracy Proffitt (James) and Shannon Snelling (Mark); uncle, Mike Harvey; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Friday after 10:00 a.m. His Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
Chris was a recipient of and advocate for organ donation. The family requests that contributions in his memory be made to Donate Life Indiana (3760 Guion Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 42222, www.donatelifeindiana.org).
