William Lester Gordon

William Lester "Bill" Gordon, age 62, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 22, 2017. He graduated from Jonesboro High School, Jonesboro, GA. and earned his Bachelor Degree with Honors from Georgia State University. Bill was employed with Charlie Wilson's Appliance and was a dedicated member of Southeast Christian Church, where he was a member of their tech ministry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arvel and Louise Lehman Gordon.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Barbara Taylor Gordon; his daughter, Stephanie Love and Kelly Cato (Carl); grandchildren, Brenden King and Mackenzie Pearce; sister, Sandy Haberstich; brother, John Gordon (Shirley); brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Kay Duke, Dicky and Debbie Turner, Wayne and Theresa Parker, Keith and Libby Taylor, Kent and Ginger Taylor; 30 nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be 4-8pm on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. A celebration of Bill's life will be 11am Tuesday at the funeral home.
