William George Linck

July 31, 1935 — June 17, 2015

William George "Bill" Linck, 79, of New Albany, Indiana was called home on Wednesday, June 17, 2015. He was born on July 31, 1935 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to William and Maude Linck. Bill was a truck driver for Smith Transfer for many years. He was a member of the Mason's Lodge # 39 in New Albany, Indiana, American Legion of New Albany, Boat Club, and lifetime member of Coon Hunters Club in New Albany. Bill enjoyed boating, fishing and just being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of over 62 years, Patricia "Pat"( Woodruff) Linck; children, Val Summers(Ray), William "Bill" Linck, Carol Zurschmiede(Todd); 5 grandchildren, Michael Simmons, Scott Linck, Amanda Linck, Ashley Jones, Matthew Mertz; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Sunday, June 21, 2015 from 12 to 6 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). His Funeral Service will be on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 11 AM at the funeral home with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to New Albany Animal Shelter(215 West Market Street, New Albany, Indiana).
