William Robert Flanders, Sr.

William Robert "Bill" Flanders, 76, of Ramsey, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marines Corps. and was stationed at Quantico, Virginia, where he attended Ranger School. Bill loved country music, fishing, playing cards, and knife making.

Bill was born on November 29, 1940, in Hodgensville, Kentucky, to the late Ollie James Flanders, Sr., and Frances (Hornback) Conrad.

Bill is survived by his wife of 55 years, June F. (Corless) Flanders; children, Sherri Warren (Joe), William R. Flanders, Jr. (Michelle), Annette Samples (Curt), and Sandra Flanders; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and brother, Ollie Flanders, Jr.

Cremation was chosen following Bill's wishes.

Memorial donations in Bill's name may be made to the American Heart Association (7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75231-4596).
