William Curtis Elder

William Curtis Elder, 65, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. William was a US Army Veteran. He truly loved his sports and was an avid fan of The UofL Cardinals and most importantly he loved his family. William will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on October 31, 1960 in Cincinnati, Ohio to William and Mae (Burus) Elder. He is preceded in death by his Father, William Joseph Elder, Mother, Mae Marie Elder, Wife, Theresa Elder, Siblings, John Newton, Cheryl Johnson, Joellen Newton.

William is survived by his loving family, Brother, Roger W Newton, Brother, Joseph K (Acque) Elder, Sister, Ollie Luann Elder, Sister, Theresa (Jimmy) Phillips, Friends, Mike Preston and Sayan Selvakumar, Son, Casey Elder, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish his memory forever.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date in Cincinnati.
