William Edward Devore

William Edward DeVore, 69, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on August 26, 2017.

William was born on January 15, 1948 in Horse Cave, Kentucky to the late William McKinley DeVore and Frances Pendleton DeVore. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly Lynn DeVore.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Maxine DeVore; daughter, Cheri Baize (Jonathan); grandchildren, Truman, Jack, Kelly, and Eden Baize; sisters, LeAnn Kroeger and Pam McCoy (Dennis).

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243), with a masonic service to follow at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A funeral service to honor the life of William will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Southeast Christian Church (920 Blankenbaker Pkwy, Louisville, KY 40243), with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service. A private burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, KY.

In loving memory of William, memorial contributions may be made to Kosair Charities or The Alzheimer's Association.
