William Ray Dearner

William Ray Dearner, age 80 of Jeffersontown, Kentucky passed away peacefully @ Baptist Health Louisville on Saturday, March 20, 2021. Bill was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 18, 1940 to the late John William and Alma L. Simpson Dearner. "Little Billy" retired from Reynolds Metal Plant 1, was a member of Pipefitter Local 502 and devoted member of Christ Lutheran Church. He was an avid sports fan, loved the University of Kentucky sports and the Cincinnati Reds. He was also preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Kathy Dearner.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Kathy Cornwell Dearner; his children, Danny Dearner, Johnny Dearner (Patti); 9 grandchildren, Katie, Chris, Tori, Kelsie, LJ, Travis, Sam, Nick and Will; 4 1/2 great-grandchildren, Marley, Peyton, Brooklynn, Ava and Tatum; and a host of relatives and friends.

Services will be private. Memorials may be made to Hosparus or the Cawood Ledford Foundation.
