William Bruce Cardwell, 90, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on January 12, 2022. He retired from International Harvester and enjoyed fishing. Bill was a jack of all trades, never meeting a stranger.
Bill was born on July 5, 1931, Clear Creek, Indiana, to the late William and Dora (Bruce) Cardwell. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Allen.
Bill is survived by his children, Deborah Davis (Robert), William D. Cardwell, Sr. (Deborah), and Rebecca "Sue" Botkin; grandchildren, Kelli Krazinsky (Thomas), Traci Mulvenna (Patrick), Michael McGovern (Beth), William Cardwell, Jr., and Joseph Cardwell (Lori); great-grandchildren, Sydney Krazinsky, Hannah Krazinsky, and Cameron McGovern; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation was chosen, and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with his care. A celebration of Bill's life will be announced in the spring.
