William Edward "Bill" Buck, 82, of Otisco, Indiana, passed away on Friday afternoon, September 22, 2017. He was a United States Army veteran that proudly served his country during the Korean War. Bill was a member of the Sellersburg Moose Lodge 1757, American Legion Post 335, and VFW Post 1427.
He was born on February 28, 1935, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Frank and Ruth (Adams) Buck. Bill was also preceded in death by his siblings, Celestine Johnson, Fannie Clark, Mary Angel, Martha Hanger, James Buck, Jessie McCain, and Aline Hockersmith.
Bill is survived by his wife of over 57 years, Sally (Davidson) Buck; daughters, Tonya Philpot (Bart Walter), Sheila Manson (Andrew), and Tamara Davidson (Joe Wyatt); grandchildren, Megan Davidson, Mitchell Philpot, Morgan Manson, Brandon Philpot, and Vyncent Manson; great-granddaughters, Khia and Sophia; sisters-in-law, Ollie O'Brien (Allen) and Linda Davidson (Werner); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017, at Safe Harbor Christian Church (3002 Murphy Road, Memphis, Indiana 47143) and after 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. His Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the church with burial and military honors to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
