William Allen Brown, 83, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Norton Audubon Hospital. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on September 14, 1933 to the late Allen and Nonie Brown. He attended Valley Station Church of God and retired from International Hardwoods.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Brown; and a brother, Ray Brown.
William is survived by his children, Jerri (Harvey Roach) Ashford, William Allen Brown, Jr., Louie Brown, Michael (Debbie) Brown, Judy Vertrees and Janice (Tim) Reece; three step-children, Ricky (Penny) Jaggers, Phillip (Duckie) Jaggers and Dwayne Jaggers; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Glenda) Brown; his former wife, Esther Beck; and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral Ceremony will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
