William Boyd Wright, Jr.

William Boyd Wright, Jr., 81, formerly of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015. He was a member of Main Street UMC in New Albany and attended Lincoln Hills UMC in English, Indiana. Bill read the Bible faithfully and taught Sunday classes for a number of years. He loved to fish and enjoyed tinkering with all types of things.
He was born on April 26, 1934 in Harrison County, Indiana to the late William, Sr. and Violet (Wolfe) Wright. Bill is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marie (Spalding) Wright; daughters, Janet Drake (Doug), Khris Matthews; brother, Norman Wright (Barbara); granddaughter, Sarah Matthews; and his four legged companion, Blaze.
Visitation will be from 10 AM to 2 PM on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his Funeral Service taking place at 2 PM. Burial will follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
The family requests that contributions in Bill's memory may be made to Personal Counseling Services (1205 Applegate Lane, Clarksville, IN 47129) or to Lincoln Hills UMC (1598 SR 64, English, IN 47118).
