William Andrew Borden, 87, of Milltown, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. He was widely known for his work as the owner and operator of Borden Dental Lab, a business he led with pride for nearly 30 years. Outside of his professional life, Bill enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors, particularly through camping with his family and deer hunting, both of which remained his favorite pastimes. He was also an enthusiastic fan of NASCAR.
Born on November 16, 1938, in New Albany, Indiana, he was the son of Robert and Olive (Chandler) Borden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna (Hamblin) Borden, who stood by him through many years of marriage; his son, Dennis Borden; his son-in-law, Sammy Elliott; his daughter-in-law, Tina Borden; and his siblings, Jeanie, Robert, Marie, and Marilyn.
Bill's legacy continues through his children: Rickey Borden, Linda Elliott, Ronnie Borden (fiancée, Cheryl Gettings), Larry Borden (Susan), and Jeff Borden (Allison). He was a proud grandfather to 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, located at 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany. Visitation will continue on Tuesday after 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Bill will be laid to rest at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill's memory may be made to Kosair Charities or to the Alzheimer's Association.
