William David Bomar, Jr.

July 27, 1948 — February 6, 2022

William "David" Bomar Jr., age 73 passed away on Sunday, February 6th 2022. David was a loving husband, father, brother, Pawpaw, uncle and friend. There is a common thread from all that knew David Bomar – He was extremely loved and will be greatly missed. He enjoyed family gatherings, especially if Karaoke was involved, golfing, fishing trips, watching his Cards play any sport. David grew up in Louisville attending St. Xavier High School and graduating from Thomas Jefferson in 1966. David would talk about his younger years, living in the Rangeland neighborhood, playing pickup baseball games, working on a nearby farm for Mr. Arnold and starting his "young" sales career as the local paperboy. Through his teens, David was the lead singer in a band that would perform at The Whispering Hills Club, wearing his Nehru collar suit and Beatle boots. He enjoyed a successful career in sales for many years until his retirement in 2010. David was born to the late Elsie Jane Bomar(Sandy) and the late William David Bomar Sr.(Bill) in Louisville, Kentucky on July 27th, 1948.

David is survived by his loving Wife, Jackie Bomar; sons, Chris Bomar (Sharon) and Andy Bomar (Kimberley); siblings, Denny Slusser, Nancy Bell (David), Joanie Moore (Denny), Tim Bomar (Beverly), Tony Bomar (Mary) and Frankie Epperson; grandchildren, Tyler Bomar (Courtney), Natalie Bomar, Drew Bomar (Mariah), Nick Bomar; and eight great-grandchildren.

We will be honoring David's wishes and celebrating his life with Family at a private ceremony.
