Wesley Phelps

Wesley Phelps, 91, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Robley Rex VA Medical Center. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Fred and Ruth Perry Phelps. He was a veteran in the United States Army and was the superintendent at ACME Furnace Supply.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three sisters, Lorine Phelps, Doris Hochadel, and Geneva Phelps.

Wesley is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Verna D. Phelps; a daughter, Julie (Kevin) Lamkin; and two brothers, Bob (Doris) Phelps and Floyd (Sally) Phelps.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 10304 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

In keeping with Wesley's love of gardening, the family would appreciate live flowers for the funeral service and gravesite. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest.
