Wesley Dean Houser, 79, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was born in Dodge City, Kansas on December 4, 1937 to the late Willard and Ida Ohmart. He was retired from the United States Army with over 22 years of service as a Tank Commander and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was a member of College Heights United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Lynn Martin; and a son, Steven Michael Bayne.
Wesley is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Houser; children, Carrol (Ronald) Cheatwood and Sandra (Clyde) Bruner; grandchildren, Jennifer (Leonard) Grubbs, Jonathan Foster, Christopher (Jamie) Cheatwood, and Courtney (Joe) Tudor; great-grandchildren, Adriana and Jeremiah Grubbs, Charlotte and Eleanor Cheatwood; two sister, Donna (Glenard) Harris and Bonnie Davenport; and a host of other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at College Heights United Methodist Church, 710 College Street Road, Elizabethtown, KY 42701.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Imagine Campaign at College Heights United Methodist Church.
