Wendell Wayne Mcfarland

Wendell W. McFarland, 78, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022. Wendell was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He worked for the New Albany Police Department for over 25 years until his retirement. Wendell loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar.

He was born on September 8, 1943, in Orleans, Indiana, to the late Charles and Mary Catherine (Cooper) McFarland. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, George McFarland.

Wendell is survived by his loving wife, Sandi McFarland; son, Roy (Kim) McFarland; daughter, Mary Ann (Phil) Robinett; stepson, Troy Dawson; grandchildren, Andy, Katie, Justin, Kaitlin, Ashley, and Emily; and sister-in-law, Regina McFarland.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery (5629 Grant Line Road, New Albany).
