Wendell Ray Jones

Wendell Ray Jones, age 64 of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020. He was born on August 23, 1955 in Pewee Valley, Kentucky to Archibald and Bessie Jones. Wendell was a very talented and passionate musician his entire life. He brought joy to many people with his guitar playing. One of Wendell's main focuses in life was taking care of his family that he loved and cherished very much. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jessica; and brother, Archibald Jr.

Wendell is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Tammy Jones; daughter, Lauren Ashley Jones; three sons, Steven Jones, Zachary Jones, and Isaac Jones; sisters, Gwen Price and Wilma Crisler (Peter); brother Michael Jones; three grandchildren, Micah, Kendall, and Shelby; several nieces and nephews; and his three beloved kitties.

A celebration of Wendell's life will be held at a later date.

Wendell's family would like to send a special thanks to his care team at Baptist Health Louisville for their endless dedication and compassion.

The family requests that contributions in Wendell's memory be made to the Musician's Emergency Resource Foundation (MERF) in Louisville.
