Wayne Rice

Wayne Rice, 65, of Memphis, Indiana, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017. Wayne was a long-time member of Northside Christian Church where he was very active in the works ministry. He also served on a car ministry outside of the church and enjoyed woodworking.

Wayne was born in Scottsburg, Indiana on April 1, 1952 to the late Paul L. & Edna Louise (Quinn) Rice. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Paul Rice Jr.; and his sister, Martha Rice.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Jo (Phipps) Rice; daughter, Kimberlyn Rice; niece, Lori Shaheed; nephew, Brian Rice; brother & sister-in-law, Vincent & Janet Stockdell; nephew & niece-in-law, Jonathan & Olivia Stockdell; and great nephew, Alexander Stockdell.

Visitation will be from 1 PM to 6:30 PM on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). His Memorial Service will follow at 6:30 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
