Wayne Paul Osting

April 2, 1947 — December 2, 2016

Wayne Paul Osting, age 69, of Louisville, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016. He graduated from DeSales High School where he played on the football team. He was employed with Voith Manufacturing as a supervisor of environmental services at the Ford Truck Plant. He enjoyed playing golf, and enjoyed watching college football and basketball, especially UofK and UofL. His favorite time of year was celebrating the Christmas holiday. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Elona "Dudie" Willis Osting; 4 brothers, Frank, Melvin Jr., Dennis and Steve; and sister, Cathy Ann.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Susan; children, Jamie Pryor (Tracy) and Todd Osting; grandchildren, Ben Pryor (Kelli) and Nikki Pryor; great-granddaughter, Maddison Pryor; siblings, Martha Kiser, Tommy Osting (Barbara), Jerry Keyes (Cathy), Debbie Haynes (Bob), Paula Fleitz, Kevin Osting (Vicki); and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 3-8pm Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. Funeral ceremony will be 11am Wednesday, December 7th at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Floydsburg Cemetery in Crestwood, Kentucky.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or any Angel Tree.
