August 25, 1947 — February 13, 2020

Wayne Joseph King, 72, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020. Wayne loved volunteering for UofL athletics and the Franciscan Food Kitchen and playing in many local bands throughout the years, including Cosmo and the Counts, The Chateaus, and the Amber Martin Band.

He was born on August 25, 1947, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to the late William and Virginia (Michelone) King. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Karen Holthouser.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Nikki King; daughters, Laura Holmes and Jennifer (Jeff) Black; stepdaughter, Kristi (Tim) McLaughlin; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, including great-grandsons, Zane Savage, his "little prince" and "special little buddy," Aiden Eisman, Jaxson Smith, and Zhiloh Fitzpatrick; 1 brother; and 1 sister.

Memorial Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany. His Memorial Service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
