Wayne Allen Hall

Wayne Allen Hall, 47, passed away unexpectedly on September 20, 2026.

Born on June 29, 1979, Wayne lived a life marked by devotion to the people he loved, a strong work ethic, and an adventurous spirit. He was loving and kind, with a wonderful sense of humor and a huge heart. Wayne was the kind of person who would lend a hand at any point in time, and his warmth left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him.

Wayne built a respected career through years of dedication and skill. He  started working with his dad at 15 as an electrician, and obtained his Master Electrician license through the IEC, continuing in the field for 25+ years. He was a graduate of Oldham County High School. Over the course of his professional life, he also served as a Project Superintendent in construction management and later as a Project Manager/Estimator for Henson Construction. He took pride in bettering himself for his family and friends, and that steady commitment could be seen in both his work and the way he lived.

More than anything, Wayne treasured his family. His proudest accomplishments were becoming a dad, marrying the love of his life, and continually striving to become a better man for those around him. He adored his kids and found great joy in watching them perform on stage and across numerous fields. He also adored his animals and shared a special bond with Memphis, his beloved fur baby.

Wayne embraced life with enthusiasm. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, sky diving, bonfires, gaming, napping, music festivals, concerts, and comedy shows. He loved to travel with his family and friends, creating memories filled with laughter and adventure. In his younger days, he especially loved riding his motorcycle with his dad, a memory that remains a meaningful part of the life he carried with him.

He is survived by his wife, Lorain Doring-Hall; his son, Brenden Hall; and his daughter, Nadia Martinez. He is also survived by his father, Ron Hall, and mother, Cindy Hall; his sister, Rebecca Smith (Mike); his brothers, Anthony Happel (Lindsey Dressman), Bret Happel (Jessica), and Chris Happel; his aunt, Bev Tucker; his mother-in-law, Stephaney Doring, Sue Reinert (grandmother), and his beloved Memphis, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws, and friends he considered family. Each of them, along with many friends and extended loved ones, carry forward the memory of Wayne’s humor, generosity, and deep love for his family.

Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Donaldson; his father, Mike Smith; his grandmother, Janet Green; and his grandfather, John Donaldson.

Visitation will be held on September 27, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, 235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY 40243. A funeral service will follow there at 5:00 p.m.

Wayne will be remembered for the love he gave so freely, the laughter he brought into every room, and the steadfast way he showed up for the people he loved. His absence will be deeply felt, and his memory will be cherished always.
