Warren R. Cox, age 93 of Louisville, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016. He was an Army Air Forces Veteran of WWII, having served his country as a Sergeant and gunner in the 23rd Bomb Squadron. In civilian life, he was an electrician for the L&N Railroad. Warren loved fishing and loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He always had a good story to tell. Warren was a member of the Simpsonville Church of Christ. He loved and served God, his country and his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles G. and Jesse Russell Cox; brother, Charles.
Warren is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Martha; son, Russell Cox (Vanessa); daughters, Linda James and Annette Schnatter (John); 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Jean Moore (Charles) and Peggy Sue Pickler; and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 10am-1pm Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown with service to follow at 1pm. Burial will follow the service at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
