Wanda Jean (Burdine) Sowle

Wanda Jean (Burdine) Sowle, 62, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019. Wanda will be remembered for her love of collecting ceramic turtles and angels.

She was born on August 11, 1956, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to the late Ray and "Bobbie" Burdine. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Larry Burdine.

Wanda is survived by her loving husband of nearly 46 years, William Sowle; daughters, Tohnia Phillips and Bobbi Sowle; brother, Johnny Burdine (Debbie); sister, Caroline Duvall (Mark); grandchildren, Mitch (Hannah), Bailey, and Grant; sister-in-law, Diana Sowle; and her dear friend of many years, Janet Berryman (Larry).

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
