Wanda Jane Kucher

March 13, 1952 — April 23, 2022

Wanda Jane "Nana" Kucher, 70, of Shelby County, Kentucky, passed away on April 23, 2022. Wanda was born to John & Orpha Stivers on March 13, 1952 and was raised alongside 8 siblings. She went on to graduate from Shelby County High School. She went on to meet the love of her life, Brian Kucher, at Cherokee Blues Club, and together they raised three children.

Wanda was an artist, she loved crafting and gardening. She loved working in the yard- you could always drive past the house and see her working in the garden. Her children and grandchildren were her life and her purpose. She was a lover and was very much loved. She was feisty, unstoppable, and full of life. She was a big country music fan; her radio was usually set to the "Willie Nelson" channel.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, John & Orpha Stivers and her brothers, Chester Stivers, Jerry Stivers, & Johnny Stivers. Wanda leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 32 years, Brian Kucher; her three children, Dylan (Sara Slifer) Nichols, Jane (Richard) Newcom, & Erin (Joey) Wimp; her grandchildren, Kaley Musni, Austin Brannin, Roman Newcom, Lilly Newcom, Savannah Singleton, Lauren Meyer, Sebastian Wimp, & Silas Wimp; her siblings, Jessie Stivers, Margie Jamison, Brenda Barrom, Charlie Stivers, Elaine Render; her four-legged companion, Ella, and other relatives and friends who will all miss her very much.

The family has scheduled a Celebration of Life, Saturday, May 14, 2022, beginning at 4:00PM at her residence. The family has entrusted Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville) with her care.
