Wanda Loretta (Hurley) Johnson, 80, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019. Wanda really enjoyed coaching for Clarksville Little League Softball for many years. She had a huge heart for animals and took on the responsibility of the safe return of hundreds of animals to their families.
She was born on March 2, 1939, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Daniel J. Hurley and Mary E. (Coy) Burkel.
Wanda is survived by her loving Husband, Larry Johnson; Daughters, Lory (Charles) Adams, Christy Johnson, and Joanna (Russell) Foushee; Sister, Deborah (Eddie) Freiberger; Grandchildren, Sydney Sumner, Irish Sumner, Jamie Mills, Jack Foushee, Stephani Foushee, and Russell Foushee, Jr.; and 7 Great-grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen following Wanda's wishes, and a Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at a later date.
The family requests that contributions in Wanda's memory be made to the Humane Association of Clark County (2702 Middle Road, Jeffersonville, IN 47130).
